The Tsubanari is a sword wielded by Joshua Berahia.
Overview[]
The Tsubanari is a sword forged with a massive ki, allowing it to cut through adamantite, the hardest known substance.[1] When the sword is swung it releases a powerful vacuum blade into the air. This causes the tsuba, the guard of the sword, to resonate with a beautiful sound of wind, giving the sword its name Tsubanari, or tsuba ringing.[1][2]
History[]
The sword was given to Joshua when he achieved the rank of Samurai master, and is his proof of achieving that rank.[2]
When the Samurai lead a peasant uprising in the town of Danis, Joshua is using using the sword to combat Kall-Su's forces. When the Sorcerer Shoguns Yngwei von Mattström attempts to stop them, Joshua challanges Yngwei to a fight using the sword, but Kai Harn steps in and fights Yngwei instead.[3]
During the Sorcer Shogun's attack on the Samurai Residence, Joshua uses the Tsubanari to fight against Maclalpine Toni Strauss, though the Samurai master ends up losing to the Shogun.[4]
After arriving on the flying city of King Crimson Glory, in an attempt to stop the Shoguns from finding, and breaking, the last seal of Anthrasax, Joshua uses the sword in battle against several of the Shogun who attempt to stop the Samurai.[5] When the Shogun and Samurai join forces to fight a giant monster formed of Anthrasax's cells, which had consumed Kall-Su's body, Joshua uses the sword to fight several giant bugs created by the monster, and against the monster itself.[6]
Once the awakened Anthrasax, and other Demon Gods, began attacking the flying city, Joshua again uses the sword to fight against Prince Mercy, who had made a deal with the demons, as revenge for being mistreated by the Samurai, and had transformed into a giant monster and attacked them.[7]
