Stradt is a longsword wielded by Yngwei von Mattström.
Overview[]
Stradt is a red sword embedded with rubies. While the sword possesses no magical abilities, it is made using Old World technology. The sword is lightweight, easy to handle, and is very sharp.[1]
History[]
The sword was made sometime in the past using Old World technology. Eventually, it came into the possession of Yngwei, who has used it since before he met Kall-Su.[2]
Yngwei is seen with the sword while he is investigating the town of Danis. He uses it to do battle against Kai Harn, who was part of the Samurai group leading a peasant uprising in the city.[3]
Later, when the vampire Di-Amon infiltrates Kall-Su's castle in an attempt to kill the sorcerer, Yngwei uses the sword to fight against the vampire.[4]
Yngwei takes the sword with him when he, and the other Sorcerer Shoguns go to the flying city of King Crimson Glory.[4] When Anthrasax possesses Kall-Su's body, and forms a giant monster around it, Yngwei uses Stradt to help the Shogun and Samurai fight it.[5]
Later, once angels begin manifesting around the city, and try to kill everyone on board, Yngwei uses the sword in a large scale battle between Tia, the Shogun, and the angels, in the city's reactor room. He uses the sword against the angels until his death at their hands.[6]
