Guillotine Slugger

Guillotine Slugger is a sword technique used by Zion Sol Vanderverg, and formally by Gain Esparanza.

Overview[]

This technique involves slamming the user's sword down at high speeds, to split a target with a shock wave. When combined with the cursed Soul Eater sword, this attack can harm mental and spiritual entities.[1]

The relationship between the Soul Eater sword, this technique, and user, is unknown.[1]

History[]

One hundred years before the start of the series, Gain Esperanza, one of the former Divine Kings of Dark Schneider, possessed the Soul Eater sword, and mastered this technique.[1]

Zion uses this attack to cut off the arm of a giant monster, formed from the cells of Anthrasax, as part of a larger battle against the creature on King Crimson Glory.[2]
