The Eye of the World is a magical item.
Overview[]
The Eye of the World is a magical artifact, in the shape of a giant eyeball, that can find what the user desires, even if it is magically hidden. The Eyes are connected to Anthrasax, and can act as a transmitter.[1]
History[]
At some point the Eye of the World was acquired by Kall-Su, and equipped on one of the airships sent to find the lost city of King Crimson Glory, and Princess Sheila Metallicana, who held the last seal on Anthrasax. The Eye was able to locate Sheila, even through King Crimson Glory's magical defenses, and the spell Dark Schneider cast on the princess to keep her hidden, guiding the airships through the magical storm around the city.[2]
After the airship fleet was forced down, due to attacks by a dragon guarding the city, the eye is not seen, and presumed destroyed. However, before its destruction, it was able to transmit the location of the city back to Kall-Su, allowing him to reach the city on his own.[3]
Trivia[]
The name likely a reference to the song "Eyes of the World" from the band Rainbow who are referenced a number of times in Bastard!!.
