Invasion is the fourth episode in the Bastard!! Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy anime series.
Synopsis[]
After being kidnapped by Gara, Yoko meets a most lewd, salacious fate at the hands of his slime. Meanwhile, Dark Schneider infiltrates Gara’s hideout with Princess Sheila and her group. As he slashes away at the monsters that emerge, he falls into Gara’s trap and finds himself facing the Demon God of Fire.
Summary[]
Dark Schneider heads to Gara's fortress. Sheila Metallicana and some of her men decide to join him. She wonders if this is the right path, but Schneider assures her that Gara haven't moved his base for fifteen years and its still in Grave Valley.
Gara chains Yoko in a pit, stating he will let her go if she tells him how to break Dark Schneider's seal. However, since its too embarrassing, she decides to keep quiet. Gara wonders if she is in love with Schneider, but Yoko denies it. Gara reveals that Schneider has an interesting past and he can tell her about all of his woman stories.
Sheila removes her armor
Dark Schneider and the rest are getting closer to Gara's fortress, but Sheila's men are wondering why the ninjas still haven't attacked. As they decide to continue, they are immediately attacked by ninjas. The men decide to protect Sheila, but she states she knows how to use a sword. As she swings it, she hits one of her men from behind. Schneider then uses Anthem and defeats the ninjas. The ninjas are surprised that Schneider knows the secret path as he is an outsider, but Schneider shuts him up. Sheila's man comments that Anthem is Magic Missiles that never miss and Dark Schneider should know many more magic attacks. Schneider ignores his and tells Sheila to drop her sword and armor as she is slowing them down. Her men are annoyed, but Sheila decides to do it.
Yoko is surprised to learn that Lucien has been with a woman and as Gara asks her to guess, she guesses he has been with ten women. Gara starts laughing, mentioning he has been alive for four centuries and the number is like over 300. Most of them are no longer alive, however, Gara knows one that is still around and haven't changed in appearance. She is one of Dark Schneider's disciples and one of the four Divine Kings. Yoko wonders if they were lovers, but Gara doesn't know the details. Gara tells Yoko that if she keeps acting stubborn, he may do something that will embarrass her. A Slime then shows up in the pit. Gara mentions its one of his favorites and its a special breed that melts clothes. The slime then jumps on Yoko.
Dark Schneider's group reach the fortress front gates. Sheila's men wonder how would they enter and Sheila proposes the front gate, causing her men to tell her it isn't a good idea. Dark Schneider then laughs and heads towards the door. He then uses Damned and blows up the door. Sheila wonders if the ninjas have noticed it and her man shocked states they definitely had noticed it, but that causes Schneider to starts laughing. Meanwhile, Yoko's clothes are almost melted. A ninja comes and reports to Gara that a group led by a wizard forced their way through the front gate. Gara wonders who would be this stupid and guesses it must be Dark Schneider. The ninjas want to teach them a lesson, but Gara stops them, wanting to see if they can get through the labyrinth of death on the lower levels of the fortress.
Schneider's group face a Minotaur
Dark Schneider's group enter through the front gate and the men are wondering where are the ninjas. A Minotaur then bursts through the wall. Schneider notices a ladder behind the minotaur and also protects Sheila from the debris caused by the minotaur. They all run past the minotaur and head to the ladder. Schneider tells them he and Sheila will climb first, while the men stay and distract the minotaur. The men doesn't agree, stating he is sacrificing them, but Schneider wonders if it isn't their duty to protect the Princess and now is the chance to show their bravery. Hearing that, the men agree and turn to face the minotaur. As they fight the minotaur, Schneider tells Sheila to climb first as if needed, he can slide down and fight the monster. As Sheila had removed her armor, she barely wears any clothes and thinks he wants to look under them, thus she calls Schneider a pervert and slaps him. Annoyed for constantly slapping him and slowing him down, Schneider grabs Sheila on his shoulders and starts climbing with her.
Suzuki Dogezaemon creates a barrier
As he climbs up, a Suzuki Dogezaemon appears and attacks them. Schneider guesses the passage between the dimensions have opened up when Anthrasax was activated and it caused a Suzuki Dogezaemon to materialize on their side. Yoko's clothes had completely melted. Gara frees her, stating that the wizard is almost there and he can take her so that she watches them fight. Yoko refuses, not wanting Lucien to see her naked. Gara states that Schneider is doing whatever he wants and even if he wants to conquer the world, it doesn't mean he wants Gara by his side. Gara used to be his disciple 16 years ago, but to work together now, they need to know who is stronger. Schneider uses Damned on Dogezaemon, but it isn't strong enough to defeat it. Sheila notices that Schneider is in a hurry and isn't as confident as when he faced Geo. Schneider uses Anthem, but Dogezaemon puts on a barrier and protects itself. The Dogezaemon then strikes back and injures Schneider's left arm. Sheila gets behind it and hits him, causing him to drop his barrier. Schneider sees this chance and uses Sodom, cutting the Dogezaemon to pieces and killing it. Sheila states that Schneider is worried about Yoko, but he has been too embarrassed to say it and that's why he acted like that. Schneider tries denying it and picks up Sheila and proceeds.
They get out of the labyrinth and reach a large hall. Sheila notices that Schneider looks tired and he reveals he used too many big spells against the Dogezaemon and magic takes a lot of focus, physical energy, and mental energy. He is the only person in the world, who can use that many big spells in a single day. However, he is getting tired and needs to save one or two for Gara, so Sheila must protect herself from now. Sheila sees a red sword and picks it up. She then loses control over it and slashes at Dark Schneider, wounding him. Schneider is surprised she couldn't see that was a trap and notes she picked a cursed sword. Schneider realizes they put a potent poison on the blade too. As it starts to affect him, he shows up the wound and asks Sheila to suck the poison.
Efreet appears
Yoko asks Gara why are they trying to resurrect Anthrasax and Gara reveals they want to use her power to destroy the current world order. They will then build a new kingdom, where they are in control. Yoko states Anthrasax will destroy everyone and there won't be anyone left to rule over. Gara states they know a way to control her and they can spare those who obey them. Gara guesses that Schneider should be done with the labyrinth by one, but there is one last tough obstacle. Gara wonders if Schneider has enough magic to defeat the demon god that resides in the sword. Sheila feels embarrassed, but also responsible for Schneider's condition. Because of that, she starts sucking the poison out of his wound. At the same time, the demon god Efreet comes out of the sword and wonders who disrupts his sleep and states they will pay with their lives.
