Enhanced Gilt-Edge Attack

The Enhanced Gilt-Edge Attack is a sword technique used by Vai Staebe.

Overview[]

This technique uses the back of the sword to attack the enemy, and is very effective against opponents with hard skin or full armor, that can't normally be cut with a sword blade.^[1]

History[]

Vai uses this attack to kill a a giant bug, created by a monster formed from the cells of Anthrasax, while on the flying city of King Crimson Glory.^[2]

Trivia[]

This is a real attack in Japanese swordplay called Mineuchi.^[1]
