Cockatrices (コカトリス, Kokatorisu) are a rooster-like beast capable of petrifying living things.
Description[]
Cockatrices are a type of large magical creature that posses the head, wings, and legs, of a chicken, and the body of a snake. They have an extremely ferocious personality, and their breath can turn living things to stone, They have low intelligence, and inhabit ruins and caves of temperate regions.[1][2]
They posses a male/female relationship with basilisks, with the basilisks being male, and the cockatrices being the females.[2]
History[]
The Cockatrice appears after being summoned by Kai Harn, following her defeat in direct combat by Dark Schneider. Kai attempts to use the Cockatrice to petrify Dark Schneider, but it goes berserk after she accidentally drops the crystal she was using to control it. The now crazed Cockatrice attacks Kai, and is then killed by Dark Schneider using the Damned spell.[1]
