The Astral Engine was a massive engine used to power King Crimson Glory.
Overview[]
The Astral Engine was the main power generator for the flying city of King Crimson Glory, built by the Ten Wise Men of Europa. It powered the city using the spiritual energy harvested from the souls of a large number of Elves. If overloaded, it had the ability to generate power equivalent to the creation of the universe.[1]
History[]
The Astral Engine was first seen by Abigail and Tia Noto Yoko after having fallen into the deeper levels of King Crimson Glory, due to damage the city sustained in the fight between Dark Schneider and Anthrasax, with Abigail explaining the history of the reactor to Yoko as they looked upon it.[2] After discovering Dark Schneider had been trapped in Hell by Anthrasax, and that they need a massive amount of energy to break the barrier between Earth and Hell to free him, Abigail came up with a plan to overload the reactor to generate the needed power.[3]
Yoko, along with Prince Lars Ul Metallicana, and several of the Sorcerer Shoguns, fought to protect the engine against a horde of Angels trying to destroy it, while Abigail merged with the Engine to undo the limiters preventing it from overloading.[4]
